Virginia Theological Seminary
Dr Stephen L. Cook is a distinguished scholar currently serving as the Catherine N. McBurney Professor of Old Testament Language and Literature at Virginia Theological Seminary, a prominent institution within the Anglican Communion since its founding in 1823. With a tenure beginning in June 1996, Dr Cook has authored numerous critically acclaimed books and articles in the field. Prior to this, Dr Cook was a faculty member at Union Theological Seminary from May 1992 to June 1996. Dr Cook holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Religion/Religious Studies from Yale University, a Master of Divinity in Bible/Biblical Studies from Yale Divinity School, and a Bachelor's degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Trinity College-Hartford.
Virginia Theological Seminary
Virginia Theological Seminary is the flagship seminary of the Episcopal Church. Founded in 1823, VTS prepares women and men from around the world for both ordained and lay service in the Church. Serving the worldwide Anglican Communion, Virginia Theological Seminary educates approximately 25% of those being ordained who received residential theological education.
