Sandy Gharib is an LPC with extensive experience in the mental health and development services field. They began their career in 1997 at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority as a Clinician/Coordinator of Motivational Enhancement Therapy Services. From 1999 to 2005, they worked as a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Clinician at Henrico Mental Health & Developmental Services. In 2006, Sandy joined the Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center as an Online Teaching Faculty. They then worked as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training Coordinator at Henrico Mental Health & Developmental Services from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Consultant at SG Resource Management, and in 2016, they joined Virginia's Community College System as a Professional Development Coordinator. Sandy's roles at Virginia's Community College System also include Coordinator, Learning & Development and Director of Operations.
Sandy Gharib, LPC holds a Master's degree in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Longwood University. Sandy is also a Certified Motivational Interviewing Trainer and a Virginia - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition, Sandy is a Virginia Crisis Intervention Teams (VACIT) Trainer.
