Subhabrata Biswas

Subhabrata Biswas is a seasoned professional in drug discovery and pharmacology, currently serving as Senior Director of Discovery Pharmacology at Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2024. Previously, Subhabrata held the role of Director of Translational Sciences at Upstream Bio, where responsibilities included driving clinical biomarker discovery, overseeing CRO selection, and authoring pharmacology sections for regulatory submissions. With experience as a consultant at Third Rock Ventures and Associate Director of In Vivo Drug Discovery at Rheos Medicines, Subhabrata has led drug discovery programs and established PK-PD correlations in various therapeutic areas. At Merck, Subhabrata contributed to multiple immune-oncology and immunology programs, while earlier roles included Senior Research Fellow at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and postdoctoral positions at Brigham and Women's Hospital and UMass Medical School. Subhabrata holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a PhD in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science.
