Valerie Smith

Valerie Smith is an experienced professional in digital operations and information technology within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Digital Operations and Facilities at Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2023, Valerie previously held positions at Faze Medicines as Vice President and Head of IT and Facilities. At Alkermes, Valerie progressed through various roles including Senior Director of Information Technology, where leadership involved managing R&D IT systems and collaborating with Infrastructure and Security teams. Valerie's earlier experience includes managing global Super User Networks at AstraZeneca and working as a Medicinal Chemist. Valerie holds a BA in Chemistry and English from Swarthmore College and a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Biopharmaceutical Leadership from Emmanuel College.
