Gwendolyn Brown has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Gwendolyn started their career as an intern at Harris Bank, where they worked in the benefits and human resources department. Gwendolyn then worked as a member services representative at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation. After that, they joined Andersen Worldwide as a help desk analyst for almost a decade.

Following their time at Andersen Worldwide, Brown joined Accenture, where they held multiple roles including help desk consultant and help desk product specialist. In these roles, they were responsible for training and supporting global applications, managing relationships with stakeholders, and conducting weekly meetings and analysis for improvement. Gwendolyn also served as a communications lead and marketing and communications lead, responsible for promoting the Enterprise Architecture team's identity and training platform.

Brown later worked as an educator, specifically as a state licensed substitute teacher, at Prairie Hills District #144. During this time, they facilitated classroom activities, provided assistance to faculty members, and supported academic achievement.

In 2012, Brown became an independent business owner and consultant at GBS Home Based Business Solutions, where they focused on building valuable relationships and helping others. Gwendolyn also worked at Viridian Energy as a business builder and director.

Additionally, Brown founded Let It Floow Inc. in 2005, aiming to bridge the gap for underserved families by providing social resources and services to help them remain sustainable.

In the same year, they also pursued a Healthcare Information Technology program at Moraine Valley Community College, earning a Certificate of Completion. Finally, in 2012, Brown attended Viridian University for a brief period to earn a Certificate in Environmental Education.
