Mike Barr

Mike Barr has extensive experience in waste and resource management. Mike started their career at Enviros Consulting as a Project Director and then moved on to Halcrow Group as a Project Director for Waste and Wastewater Management. Mike later joined SKM Enviros as a Consulting Group Director, where they focused on waste management operations and technology. After that, they worked at Ricardo-AEA as a Knowledge Leader in Waste and Resource Management, involved in various projects related to waste technologies, strategy, and environmental impact assessment. Mike then worked at Mike Barr Environmental Consulting as a Principal Waste and Resource Management consultant, where they engaged in projects related to waste management infrastructure and energy. Currently, they are working at Viridor as a Lead Asset Engineer, providing technical advice in landfill energy projects delivery.

Mike Barr received their MSc in Biotechnology/Bioengineering from the University of Birmingham in 1985. During the same period, they also obtained their PhD in Chemical Engineering from the same institution.
