Alka Stansfield

Alka Stansfield currently serves as the Head of Quality Operations at ViroCell Biologics, focusing on GMP audit planning and execution as well as leading quality systems since September 2022. Prior to this role, Alka held positions at Ascend Gene & Cell Therapies, including Quality Assurance and Quality Systems Specialist and Quality Assurance Manager, where responsibilities included QA leadership and lab management. Experience also includes serving as Head of Scientific Business Change at Cignpost Diagnostics, and Senior Manager for Quality Systems and Compliance at Autolus Ltd. Alka's earlier roles at Autolus involved oversight of laboratory operations, while previous positions at Cell Medica and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children centered on laboratory management and R&D. Alka began a career in the biomedical field as a scientist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
