Lucia Guillory

Lucia Guillory is the current Chief People Officer at Virta. Lucia has over three years of experience in this role, during which they have been responsible for every touchpoint of the employee experience, including Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Spaces & IT. Lucia has played a key role in Virta's success as the first clinically-proven treatment to safely and sustainably reverse type 2 diabetes and other chronic metabolic diseases without the use of medications or surgery. Lucia is passionate about Virta's mission to reverse type 2 diabetes in 100 million people by 2025 and is committed to making Virta a great place to work for all employees.

Prior to joining Virta, Lucia was an Advisor at PeopleTech Partners, an advisory and investment group that leverages the insights of senior People leaders operating in top tier businesses to support early stage HR technology companies. Lucia also served as a CPOHQ Member and Head of People at Patreon. In these roles, they gained valuable experience in talent management and developing people strategies. Lucia began their career as a Talent Consultant at the University of Houston before moving into the role of Undergraduate Research Assistant. Lucia then completed an internship at Baker Botts LLP before joining Virta.

Lucia Guillory has a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston.
