Salvatore T.J. Alioto has a wide range of work experience in law enforcement and training. Starting in 1996, they worked for the City of Wauwatosa as a Police Officer, where they carried out various duties such as responding to incidents, interviewing suspects and witnesses, writing reports, and coordinating traffic. Salvatore T.J. also became a Crash Investigator and Evidence Technician during their tenure. In 2001, Alioto joined Milwaukee Area Technical College as an Instructor, teaching courses in police science and training police recruits. Salvatore T.J. then transitioned to the role of Police Sergeant in Wauwatosa, where they served as an Administrative Sergeant, developing policies and integrating technologies to improve policing efficiency. In 2015, they joined the Maricopa County Superior Court as a Trainer, responsible for developing training materials and conducting educational programs. Finally, in 2017, Alioto joined VirTra as a Law Enforcement Subject Matter Expert.

Salvatore T.J. Alioto's education history includes attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from 1992 to 1994, where they studied Criminal Justice/Police Science. Salvatore T.J. then moved on to the Waukesha County Technical College, where they completed the Police Recruit Academy in 1995. Additionally, they studied Criminal Justice/Police Science at Waukesha County Technical College from 1994 to 1995.

In terms of additional certifications, Salvatore T.J. Alioto completed various programs and courses. In 2019, they obtained the certification of Force Science Institute Analyst from the Force Science Institute. Salvatore T.J. also received the IADLEST Nationally Certified Instructor certification from IADLEST in December 2018.

Furthermore, Salvatore T.J. Alioto holds several instructor certifications. Salvatore T.J. obtained the Traffic Incident Management Instructor certification from the State of Wisconsin in February 2015. From the State of Wisconsin, they also received the Crime Scene Management Instructor certification in June 2006, the Crash Investigation Instructor certification in December 2004, and the Physical Evidence Collection Instructor certification in December 2004.

Salvatore T.J. Alioto has pursued additional training and certifications related to crash investigation. Salvatore T.J. obtained the Crash Reconstructionist certification from the University of North Florida in September 2004, and the Technical Crash Investigation certification from the same institution in July 2004. Additionally, they completed the Basic Crash Investigation certification from the University of North Florida in April 2003.
