Akiko Imai

Akiko Imai has a diverse work history starting in 2006 with internships at Nikko Citigroup, UBS, and Bear Stearns. They then worked as an Analyst in Client Services at Lehman Brothers from 2006-2008. From 2008-2012, Akiko worked at Nomura Securities as an Associate in Sales and Client Onboarding Manager for Equities Electronic Trading. In 2013, they joined ITG as part of the Electronic Block Desk Sales & Coverage team. Most recently, since 2019, Akiko has been working at Virtu Financial as the Global Head of New Sales and previously as the Head of POSIT Alert Asia Pacific.

Akiko Imai completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, specializing in International Economics and Development Economics, from Keio University in 2008. Additionally, they attended UCLA for a summer school program focusing on Business in 2006. In 2004, Akiko also participated in a summer school program at Cambridge University, where they explored subjects such as Business, Psychology, and Architecture.
