James van Raalte

James van Raalte has a diverse work experience in various roles within the financial industry. James is currently working as the Director of Product Management at Virtu Financial since 2019. Previously, they held a similar position at ITG - Investment Technology Group for 16 years, where they developed and managed the implementation of ITG's Execution Analysis platform. Prior to that, they worked at SunGard for a year as a part of the ZaiNet Group. Additionally, they served as the AVP of Program Trading at Salomon Smith Barney from 2000 to 2001 and as the VP of Equity Research at ABN AMRO Securities from 1994 to 1999.

James van Raalte completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Skidmore College from 1984 to 1988. James then pursued their interest in Computer Science at Columbia University from 2001 to 2003. James also attended Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 1992 to 1994, although their field of study is not specified. In terms of additional certifications, James obtained certifications in various machine learning algorithms from Coursera in 2023.
