Michael Sparkes

Michael Sparkes has extensive experience in the financial services industry, currently serving in an analytics role at Virtu Financial since March 2019. Prior to this, Michael held significant positions including Director of Analytical Products and Research at ITG from January 2006 to February 2019, and Managing Director at Delta Lloyd Securities from 2003 to 2005. Michael's career also includes leadership roles such as Head of International Business Development at Aviva Investors (2000-2003), Head of International Equities at Morley Fund Management (1991-2000), and Senior International Equities Fund Manager at British Airways Pension Fund (1980-1991). Michael's academic qualifications include an Executive Education Programme from The Wharton School in 2002, and further executive education from London Business School. Michael studied at the University of Cambridge from 1976 to 1980 and attended Cranbrook School.
