Ruben Costa-Santos

Ruben Costa-Santos is an experienced professional in trading analytics and risk management, currently working at Virtu Financial since 2019. Prior to this role, Ruben held the position of Head of Multi-Asset Class Analytics at ITG from 2016 to 2019. Ruben's extensive background includes significant tenure at Deutsche Bank, where responsibilities included leading the Second Order Risk Group and Exposure Management for the Americas from 2004 to 2016. Ruben began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Utrecht University, focusing on Quantum Gravity and Discrete Physics from 2002 to 2004. Ruben holds a PhD in Mathematical Physics from Stony Brook University and a Licenciatura in Technological Physics and Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
