Wes B. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the IT industry. Wes began their career at Epiq Systems in 2009 as a Systems Engineering Technical Lead, where they managed Windows servers and was responsible for Exchange, DNS, and Active Directory. Wes then moved on to Sirius Computer Solutions in 2011 as a Sr. Solutions Engineer, leading VMware and Microsoft deployments and troubleshooting. At Whataburger, Wes served as a Server Engineering Manager, overseeing Microsoft AD/Exchange/SCCM and VMware vSphere/View environments, as well as architecting the email strategy and implementing migration to Exchange 2013/Office 365. Wes then joined SWBC as a Systems Architect, where they focused on technical architecture of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, acted as an escalation point for various Microsoft and VMware technologies, and served as the Chief Enterprise Architect on the Architecture Review Board. Following their time at SWBC, Wes worked at NuStar Energy LP as a Lead Systems Specialist, leading the Systems team for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Lync, and VMware vSphere, with a focus on cloud technologies such as Azure AD, ADFS, and Office365. Most recently, Wes worked at USAA, where they served as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, specializing in Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, PKI, GPOs, Windows Server Administration, Veeam Backup, NetApp FS2240, F5 Load balancers, and VMware Infrastructure. Throughout their career, Wes has demonstrated a strong focus on automation and has utilized tools such as PowerShell to ensure compliance. In their current role at Virtu Financial, Wes holds the position of Lead Windows Engineer.
