Lee Chmielewski

Assistant Site Manager at Virtual Computing Technology

Lee Chmielewski has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and positions. From 1997 to 2002, Chmielewski worked at VP-40 US Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative, overseeing maintenance actions and ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials. From 2003 to 2007, Chmielewski served in the U.S. Navy at VQ-1 and worked as an EP-3E Electronic Warfare Flight Engineer, completing multiple deployments and accumulating extensive flight hours in support of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Chmielewski then moved on to VQ-1 U.S. Navy as a Safety Department Manager, Training Department Supervisor, and later as an Operations Department Supervisor, Safety/NATOPS Department Supervisor, and EP-3E Electronic Warfare Instructor Flight Engineer. During this time, Chmielewski flew combat sorties, managed safety programs, and facilitated flight training for pilots and flight engineers.

In 2013, Chmielewski joined Recruit Training Command as a Recruit Division Commander, leading a team of senior staff in transforming civilians into well-prepared sailors for active duty. Notably, Chmielewski's leadership resulted in 35 sailors receiving meritorious advancements.

Chmielewski then returned to VQ-1 as the Operations Department Manager and Safety/NATOPS Department Manager, overseeing operations, budgeting, and coordinating aircrew and maintenance team repositions.

In 2018, Chmielewski joined CPRW-10 as the Safety/NATOPS Department Manager, leading a team in overhauling the NATOPS program and achieving an outstanding score in a fleet evaluation.

From 2020 to 2021, Chmielewski worked at Island Creek Associates, LLC (Island Creek) as a Travel Department Lead and Travel Clerk II, managing travel programs and processing travel requests for military and government employees.

Most recently, Chmielewski is employed at Virtual Computing Technology as an Assistant Site Manager, responsible for overseeing site operations.

Lee Chmielewski has a diverse education history. They obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, completing their studies from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, Lee earned a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Aeronautics with a Minor in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 2013 and 2015. Lee's education journey began with an Associate's Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they completed from 2006 to 2013. They also obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies from Princeton College Preparatory in 1995.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lee Chmielewski has also obtained various certifications. They are a Sheet Metal Worker Journeyman, Aircraft Mechanic, Plumbing, and Hydraulics Journeyman, Computer Operator Journeyman, and Airframe Mechanic Journeyman. These certifications were obtained through the U.S. Department of Labor, with the most recent certification obtained in August 2019. Furthermore, Lee holds the designation of Master Training Specialist, which they earned from the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL in February 2014.
