Sonia Clayton has worked in various roles since 1990. Sonia began their career at Air France as a Customer Service Representative in the Transit/First Class Lounge. In 1992, they joined Continental Airlines as an International HR Expansions & Negotiations Manager, Inflight Staffing Manager/Recruiting, Corporate Security Investigator & Negotiator, and French/Portuguese/Spanish Interpreter for TransAtlantic Operations. In 1997, they were hired by DACG as an International HR Expansions Manager for SAP Consulting Services. In 1999, they joined MFR Consultants Inc. as an International Director of Business Development and Information Systems for ERP Systems. Later that year, they began working for GP Strategies Corporation as an International Business Development Manager for SAP Practice. In 2016, they joined FlyGlobos as a Board of Director. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Chairman of the Board for GET Global Energy Transition.
Sonia Clayton has a diverse educational background. Sonia began their studies in 1979 at Universidad del Zulia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources in 1984. Sonia then attended Salt Lake Community College from 1986 to 1988, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Business Administration and Management, General. In 1996 and 1997, they obtained a Certificate in Organizational Leadership from London Business School. Sonia then attended Capella University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a B.S. in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2014, they enrolled at Harvard Business School, where they obtained an Accelerated MBA in Program for Leadership Development in 2016 and an Executive Education in Strategic Negotiations and Leadership Development in 2015. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate of Participation in Introduction to SmartSpace Academy from Oral Roberts University. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate in xPRO ROBOTICS ESSENTIALS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2017, they obtained a Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Graduate Certificate (LBAN) from Stanford University.
