Octavio Páez Osuna

Octavio Páez Osuna has extensive work experience in various roles. Octavio has worked as the Chief Scientist at VirtualApt Corp since August 2016. Prior to this, they worked as a freelance programmer, specializing in Android and iOS app development, scientific computation, and supercomputers and GPU (CUDA) development since April 1986. Octavio also worked as a CUDA Researcher at SYSTAP, LLC DBA Blazegraph from July 2016 to September 2016. Before that, they were an Assistant Professor at Passaic County Community College from September 2013 to July 2016, teaching various math courses and conducting research workshops in cryptography. Octavio also served as an Associate Professor at Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM from September 2003 to August 2013, teaching mathematics courses, advising students, and conducting research in combinatorics, coding theory, and cryptography. Octavio'swork experience also includes being a Graduate Instructor at Michigan Technological University from September 1997 to August 2003.

Octavio Páez Osuna completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM from 1990 to 1997. Octavio then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics at Michigan Technological University from 1997 to 2000. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University from 2000 to 2003.
