Lilian Itagiba Couto

Lilian Itagiba Couto is an experienced professional with a diverse range of roles in the digital, fintech, advertising, and tech industries. Lilian founded and served as Vice President of Product at Maverick Disruption, where they provided workshops, design sprints, prototyping, and service design to help organizations validate and develop their products. Lilian also worked as a Product Design Coach at Desjardins, coaching teams on product design and validation using methods such as Design Thinking and Lean Agile. Lilian served as a Senior UX Designer at the National Bank of Canada, where they played a key role in designing and developing banking solutions through workshops, ideation sessions, and user flow diagrams. Lilian also worked as the Senior Vice President of Lean UX and Lean Development at Electric Gemini, where they led Lean Business workshops, advised on platform strategy, and implemented rapid prototyping. Additionally, Lilian has experience as a Senior UI Developer at Gamesys and as a Senior UX Designer/Front-End Developer at PokerStars. Lilian has also worked as a Technical Team Lead and Agile Project Manager in freelance web development, collaborating with various agencies on projects for clients such as Wunderman, agencymobile, BBC Worldwide, and more. Lilian's early career includes roles as a Technical Manager at iris worldwide and as a Senior Front-End Developer in freelance web development, where they worked on projects for leading digital agencies in London and clients such as Sony Ericsson, Apple Europe, and Bestfoods. From 2014 to 2015, Lilian attended Royal Holloway, University of London, where they obtained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Physical Theatre for Dancers and Actors, focusing on the field of Physical Theatre/Dance.

In 2014, Lilian completed a two-day intensive certification course at Skills Matter, earning Martine Devos' Certified Scrum Product Owner qualification.

During the same year, Lilian participated in a weekend workshop with the English National Ballet and Akram Khan Company, focusing on contemporary dance, ballet, and musicality.

In 2013, Lilian took part in an intensive workshop at the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv, which focused on dance and movement skills.

From 2010 to 2013, Lilian studied at The Art Academy in London, where they earned a 3-Year Fine Arts Diploma, specializing in Fine/Studio Arts, General.

In 2012, Lilian attended Trinity Laban for a period of study in contemporary dance.

In 2011, Lilian completed a Drama Foundation Course at City Lit, Keeley Street in London, with a focus on drama and dramatics/theatre arts, general.

During the same year, Lilian attended Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts for acting training in both classical and modern styles.

In 2009, Lilian completed a Certificate of Continuing Education in Dance at Birkbeck, University of London.
