Sam Scherer

Sam Scherer has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2014, they began their career in the US Army as an Infantry Officer and later served as an Infantry Platoon Leader from 2016 to 2017. Following their military service, Sam worked as an Army Ranger Officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment from 2017 to 2019.

In 2019, they transitioned to the private sector and held a Private Equity Associate internship position at Cold Bore Capital Management. Sam also completed an internship at Goldman Sachs during the same year.

In 2021, Sam joined Vali Cyber as a Program Manager, contributing to the strategic development of the company. Sam subsequently took on the role of Director of Strategic Development from an unspecified time in 2022 to an unspecified time in 2023.

Currently, they are employed at Virtus Real Estate Capital as a Vice President, starting in March 2023.

Sam Scherer completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Sam also obtained several certifications, including the SIE certification from FINRA in January 2021, the Financial Modeling (FMC™) Level I & II Certification from Adventis in May 2020, the Financial Modeling Course from Training The Street in February 2020, and the Excel Financial Modeling Training at Goldman Sachs from AMT Training in April 2019.
