Michael A. Brown

Michael A. Brown is currently the Principal U.S. Economist at Visa, a position held since August 2018, where leadership of a team of economists focuses on providing forecasts, research, and special projects related to the U.S. economy. Prior to Visa, Brown served as Vice President and Economist at Wells Fargo from August 2010 to August 2018, engaging with clients globally to communicate current economic conditions. Brown's earlier experience includes work as an Economist and Legislative Analyst at the Arkansas Bureau of Legislative Research and positions as a Research Assistant and Graduate Assistant at Georgia State University and the University of Arkansas, respectively. Michael A. Brown holds a Master of Arts in Economics and has completed doctoral studies in the same field, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics and Psychology from the University of Arkansas.
