Nikolaus Walser

Nikolaus Walser is an experienced executive specializing in risk and identity solutions within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Vice President and Global Head of Risk and Identity Solutions Strategy and Business Operations at Visa since June 2023, Nikolaus focuses on advancing risk, fraud, and identity services worldwide. Prior to this, Nikolaus held the position of Managing Director and Head of Advisory at Liminal, where advisory services were provided to innovative digital identity, fintech, and cybersecurity clients. Nikolaus also worked as a Consulting Managing Director at EY, advising global financial services clients on strategies for managing risks related to fraud and cybersecurity. Earlier career experiences include roles at IBM, where leadership was provided in financial services risk and compliance projects, and BNP Paribas, where significant contributions were made to project management initiatives.
