Rashidul Islam

Rashidul Islam is a Staff Research Scientist at Visa Research, specializing in the Trustworthy AI team with a focus on fairness in machine learning. They earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they also served as a Graduate Research Assistant, addressing issues related to AI fairness and bias. Rashidul has previous experience as a Core Network Engineer at Huawei Technologies and completed an internship at MathWorks, where they explored machine learning workflows. They hold multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Dhaka.
