Liviu Copoiu

Liviu Copoiu has a diverse work experience in the fields of biochemistry, artificial intelligence research, and entrepreneurship.

Liviu is currently working as a BioAI Research Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd since January 2022. Prior to this, they were a PHD Candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge starting from October 2016.

Additionally, Liviu was involved in entrepreneurship programs at Cambridge Judge Business School. Liviu participated in the EnterpriseTECH PhD+ program from December 2018 to March 2019 and later became an EnterpriseTECH Star in September 2019. These programs focused on practical real-world entrepreneurship and aimed to develop students' knowledge of research, innovation, and business interfaces.

Liviu Copoiu's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology from Jacobs University Bremen, which they obtained from 2012 to 2015. Following this, they pursued an MPhil degree in Pathology at the University of Cambridge, specializing in Biological Sciences with a focus on Cancer, from 2015 to 2016. Liviu then continued their studies at the University of Cambridge, completing a PhD in Biochemistry from 2016 to 2021.
