Taigao

Taigao Ma is a Machine Learning Scientist with experience gained at Visa from May 2023 to August 2023, focusing on foundation models for transaction modeling in the payment industry, where a proof-of-concept transaction foundation model was developed. As a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from September 2019 to May 2024, Taigao worked on a foundation model for photonics simulation and inverse design and served as a Graduate Student Instructor for various physics labs. Prior experience includes an internship as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018, where computational methods for noise removal in dual-comb spectroscopy were developed. Taigao holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
