Jerame Hill (PharmD, MS). Jerame Hill’s experience in all areas of health system pharmacy is an asset to Visante’s clients looking to optimize and expand their pharmacy operations and positively impact the bottom line. His successful management of supply chain programs and 340B Drug Pricing Programs in particular provide our clients with innovative strategies to improve financial and clinical performance. His understanding of the business of pharmacy and all aspects of pharmacy finances helps clients to achieve excellent results.
Before joining Visante, Jerame was the Pharmacy Director, Supply Chain, Financial Services and 340B Operations at University of Wisconsin Health (UW Health) and Meriter Health where he developed a system-wide 340B strategy to expand the existing program and deliver an additional estimated $50M of annualized net margin to be used toward the intent of the program. He achieved another $1.4M through a conversion of the 340B program from Medicaid carve out to carve in.
Also while at UW Health, Jerame led the pharmacy in its system-wide enterprise resource planning (ERP)software conversion which improved operations, efficiency and generated substantial savings. His innovative approach to financial performance created millions of dollars in savings for the health system. He was responsible for negotiating a health system-wide wholesaler agreement that resulted in more than $10M in savings, establishing a system-wide hub and spoke supply chain strategy from a consolidated pharmacy services center (CPSC) resulting in more than $2.5M in cost savings and avoidance, and developed a strategic sourcing program that resulted in nearly $5M in 18 months, to name a few examples. He was also responsible for developing a regulator and operational strategy that successfully allowed UW Health’s CPSC to achieve DEA manufacturer status to meet operational needs.
Jerame is a well-known author and speaker, conducting and publishing the results of his research in hospital pharmacy. He is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW). During his time at UW Health, he was an active member of Vizient’s Supply Chain Optimization Committee.
Jerame earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Jerame also holds a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
