Philipp Hammel

Philipp Hammel serves as the Verwaltungsratspräsident of Baloise Participation Holding AG and Leiter M&A/Beteiligungsmanagement at Baloise since April 2017, focusing on mergers and acquisitions across various sectors, including Insurtech and Fintech. Additionally, Philipp holds the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors for both Viseca Card Services AG and Kantonsspital Baselland, and was a member of the steering committee for Spitalgruppe from October 2016 to April 2019. Previous roles include significant positions at Clariant, where responsibilities spanned corporate treasury, communications, and investor relations, as well as service on supervisory boards for ASK Chemicals and Clariant Chemicals India Ltd. Philipp began a career at Credit Suisse, undertaking various managerial roles in international commercial lending. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts from the University of Basel and advanced studies in general management and corporate finance.
