Brandon Varilone

Brandon Varilone has extensive work experience in the technology industry, with a focus on software development, architecture, and technical leadership. Brandon is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Visibly since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cloudd Software LLC as a Consulting CTO/VP of Engineering from 2011 to the present. At Cloudd Software, they specialized in designing and developing Software as a Medical Device products, acquiring FDA De Novo grants, and working on AWS, SaMD, information security, and DevOps.

From 2019 to 2023, Varilone served as the VP of Engineering at Fifth Eye Inc., where they led the product development of an FDA-regulated medical device and designed a hybrid on-premise/Cloud architecture. Brandon also streamlined the creation of FDA software documentation and integrated it with the Quality Management System (QMS).

From 2012 to 2018, Varilone was the Co-Founder and VP of Engineering at Pandexio, where they drove the realization of a digital platform and established security and privacy controls. Brandon also launched an AWS-hosted SaaS platform and utilized a serverless, event-driven architecture.

Varilone briefly served as the Interim VP of Engineering at Imagen Technologies in 2016, leading the technical strategy and implementation of the startup. Brandon established protocols for the successful development of FDA-regulated medical device software.

Earlier in their career, Brandon Varilone worked at EY as an Enterprise Architect, Thomson Reuters as a Solutions Architect, Urban Science as a Senior Developer, Valassis as a Senior Developer, and Compuware as a Lead Developer. In these roles, they focused on various aspects of software development, architecture, and implementing innovative solutions.

Throughout their career, Varilone has demonstrated expertise in AWS, SaMD, information security, DevOps, machine learning, and FDA regulations. Brandon has a proven track record in leading technical teams and driving successful product development.

Brandon Varilone holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the same university, spanning from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including MCPD: Enterprise Application Developer from Microsoft in December 2007, and MCPD: Web Developer from Microsoft in November 2007.
