Soumya Gupta

Soumya Gupta has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Soumya is currently working as a Research Engineer at Vision RT Ltd since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at CMR Surgical from December 2022 to May 2023. Soumya also has experience working at Boston Scientific as a Research Intern in 2022 and as a Senior Research Engineer in 2021. Soumya was a Doctor of Philosophy candidate at the University of Oxford from October 2018 to April 2023, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for certain modules. Soumya has also completed a MSc thesis project at Imperial College London and an Undergraduate Thesis Project at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Additionally, they have participated in research internships at the University of Pennsylvania and the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Soumya also completed a Biomedical Training Program at Paras Hospital in 2014.

Soumya Gupta completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2018. Soumya completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela from 2013 to 2017. Before entering college, they also completed their Higher Secondary education at Mariampur Senior Secondary School in Kanpur in 2012-2013, focusing on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science, and English.

In terms of additional certifications, Soumya obtained a certificate in R Programming from Coursera in January 2021, The Data Scientist's Toolbox in December 2020, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning in October 2018.
