Ira Babb

Ira Babb is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in enterprise architecture and infrastructure management. Currently serving as Principal Architect at VSP Global since January 2021, Ira leads the Enterprise Architecture for a $1.5B+ Provider Network Pillar. Previously, from May 2019 to January 2021, Ira held the position of Director of Enterprise Architecture at Visionworks of America, spearheading datacenter evacuation strategies and the design of cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure. With a lengthy tenure at Rackspace from January 2009 to May 2019, Ira contributed as a Principal Architect and Enterprise Systems Architect, overseeing datacenter consolidation and migration for thousands of devices, and also acted as the Lead Infrastructure Engineer. Ira's career began as a Network Administrator at Hill Country Memorial Hospital, managing the hospital's comprehensive technical infrastructure. Ira holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Texas A&M University.
