Vesela Mareva

Vesela Mareva, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in youth policy, education, and project management. As an Assistant Professor at Trakia University from February 2020 to February 2022, Vesela contributed to academic pursuits while simultaneously engaging as a freelance external evaluator and project manager since 2020, specializing in EU-funded programs. Prior experience includes managing a multi-stakeholder youth center focused on social inclusion and non-formal education from April 2014 to February 2020, and positions in journalism and project management at BG SAT JSC and Bulsatcom JSC. Current roles include serving as a National Expert for Bulgaria in the EU Youth Strategy study, an external youth policy expert for the European Commission, a national consultant for UNICEF Bulgaria, and Director of the Youth Policies Directorate at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Bulgaria. Vesela holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Trakia University, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field.
