Lead Computer Vision Engineer at VisionTrack

Babak Roshan has extensive experience in the field of computer vision. BABAK is currently working at VisionTrack as a Lead Computer Vision Engineer, where they are responsible for developing advanced computer vision algorithms. Prior to this role, they worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at the same company.

From 2016 to 2021, Babak worked at Continental as a Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer. Their role involved developing algorithms for computer vision applications in the automotive industry.

Before joining Continental, Babak served as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Universitat Pompeu Fabra - UPF, where they focused on research and development of algorithms for estimating depth from video.

BABAK also worked as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at INESC Technology and Science and Instituto de Telecomunicações, where they conducted research on automatic pavement pathology recognition and gait recognition using Kinect, respectively.

In addition, Babak has interned as a Computer Vision Research Intern at ViCOROB and worked as a Student Researcher at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, specializing in multimodal biometrics.

Throughout their career, Babak has gained expertise in various aspects of computer vision, including depth estimation, feature recognition, gait recognition, and biometrics.

Babak Roshan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering-Software from Iran University of Science and Technology, which they earned from 2001 to 2006. BABAK also holds a Master of Science degree in Multi-Modal Biometrics from University Technology Malaysia, which they completed from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they have three separate Master of Science degrees in Vision and Robotics from Heriot-Watt University, Computer Vision and Robotics from Universitat de Girona, and Computer Vision and Robotics from University of Burgundy, all completed from 2009 to 2011. Babak Roshan has obtained two additional certifications, including GDPR Compliance: Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2018 and Programming and Tuning Massively Parallel Systems from Barcelona Supercomputing Center in 2014.
