Wesley Polk Lucas

Wesley Polk Lucas is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in the tourism and hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Visit Austin since February 2022, Wesley leads a variety of communications initiatives, including media outreach and brand engagement. Prior roles include Senior Communications Manager at Visit Frisco and Communications Coordinator at Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau, where responsibilities encompassed managing content, press releases, and social media channels. Earlier experience as a Program Coordinator at Meeting Protocol Worldwide and various coordination positions at Overton Hotel & Conference Center, Visit Lubbock, and Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau further developed Wesley's expertise in marketing and event management. Wesley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Texas Tech University.
