Brett McWethy is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in sports and entertainment. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications at Visit Detroit since March 2025, McWethy previously held the position of Director of Business Communications at Ilitch Sports + Entertainment from October 2017 to October 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing external brand communications for the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers, as well as managing internal communications for over 500 corporate colleagues.
