Minerva Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Minerva started their career in 1998 as an Academic Support Specialist at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa - William S. Richardson School of Law. After that, they served as a Junior Chemist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Environmental Soil Sciences, USDA Grant Position from 2000 to 2002.

In 2003, Minerva joined Dartmouth College as the Editor in Chief of MALS Quarterly until 2005. Minerva then worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Strayer University from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they took on the role of a Development Associate at The Wagner Free Institute of Science from 2008 to 2010.

From 2010 to 2012, Minerva worked as a Convention Sales Manager at the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau before being promoted to National Sales Manager, a position they held until 2014. Minerva then moved to Visit Indy, where they started as a National Sales Manager in 2014 and was eventually promoted to National Account Director and later Senior National Account Director.

Throughout their career, Minerva has gained extensive experience in sales, account management, development, and education. Minerva'swork history showcases their ability to adapt to different environments and take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Minerva Garcia holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree from Dartmouth College. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Contracts & Negotiations Specialist certification from Meeting Professionals International in June 2022. In October 2014, they obtained the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) from St. Louis University. In the same year, they also earned the Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) certification from the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).
