Charles Harris

Charles Harris currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Visit Orlando, a position held since May 2025. Prior to this, Charles operated as a Strategic Advisor for CEOs and C-Suite Executives from July 2023 to April 2025, focusing on recruiting senior-level industry leaders and enhancing strategic decision-making in the tourism sector. As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority from November 2020 to June 2023, Charles managed a $59 million annual budget and led a team of 120 employees, successfully launching a new three-year strategic plan. Additionally, Charles held the title of Commissioner at the Nevada Division of Tourism during the same period and served as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Long Beach for 18 years, coordinating an internship program for sports management students. Educational credentials include two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from UC Irvine, along with a Certified Destination Management Executive designation from Destinations International.
