Angela Val

Angela Val has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Angela currently holds the position of President & Chief Executive Officer at Visit Philadelphia, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Tempest starting from June 2021. Angela also served as the Executive Director at Ready.Set.Philly! from January 2021 to May 2022.

Before their role at Ready.Set.Philly!, Angela worked at the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Chief Administrative Officer from December 2016 to June 2021. Their responsibilities included overseeing senior executives and day-to-day operations, implementing strategic plans, and leading key enterprise-wide projects.

Angela's previous experience includes working as the Deputy Executive Director at the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention from April 2015 to October 2016. In this role, they directed the planning and execution of the convention, managed marketing strategies, and coordinated host city programming.

Prior to their time at the Host Committee, Angela held multiple roles at VISIT PHILADELPHIA™ (formerly Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation) starting from 1998. These roles included Vice President & Chief External Affairs Officer, Vice President of Special Projects, Hotel Program Director, and Executive Assistant/Receptionist. Throughout their tenure, they worked on strategic initiatives, managed board affairs, coordinated marketing campaigns, and supported executive leadership.

Angela's career began in 1994 as a Sales Manager at Hospitality Partners, Embassy Suites & Top of The Tower.
