Michelle Moon has a diverse work experience in the events and hospitality industry. Michelle is currently the Vice President of Partners, Experience, and Events at Visit San Antonio, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Destination Experience and Special Events at the same company from July 2021 to January 2023. Michelle also has experience as the Director of Destination Experience and Associate Director of Destination Services at Visit San Antonio.

In addition to their roles at Visit San Antonio, Michelle has held positions in various organizations. Michelle was the Vice Chairman of the Board at the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation since December 2013. Michelle was also a Board Member at the National Association for Catering and Events from July 2010 to 2018.

Michelle has also worked in event management and sales roles. Michelle was the Director of Facility Sales and Service at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts from July 2014 to December 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Special Events at the Witte Museum from January 2011 to July 2014. Michelle also served as a Catering Sales Manager at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel San Antonio and as an Event Rental Sales Manager at the Witte Museum.

Michelle started their career in event management as an Events Manager at the Museum of Nature & Science (Now the Perot Museum) from November 2004 to December 2006. Michelle also worked as a Special Events Coordinator at the Museum of Science & Industry from December 2003 to August 2004. Additionally, they have experience as the Owner/Consultant of Moonlit Events.

Michelle Moon, CMP, CPCE, CTE, CTA obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance and Arts Management from Oklahoma City University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
