Darien Wright

Darien Wright is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at the National Geographic Society, where they lead the organization’s financial and operational functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury and risk management, and oversee endowment and investment portfolio leadership, technology solutions, and Base Camp experiences. They also sit on the boards of Destination DC and National Geographic Partners and are an Executive Fellow with The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Wright previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Brookwood Hotels, a Brookfield Asset Management portfolio company, and held senior roles at Brookfield Properties and Marriott International, in addition to serving as Managing Member at Agilis Advisors, LLC. They earned a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University School of Management and an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School.
