Tristan A. Hicks

Tristan A. Hicks, CMP, serves as the Associate Director of Events, Marketing and Communications at Destination DC, where strategic direction for in-person and virtual events, trade shows, and customer experiences is provided. Previously, Tristan held roles such as Director of Meetings at the American Council on Education, influencing key meetings for the nation’s largest higher education organization, and Senior Meeting Planner at Lux Consulting Group, Inc., where planning for diverse clientele occurred. Additional experience includes Meetings Manager at the Parenteral Drug Association, overseeing large-scale events, and Meeting Planner at U.S. Pharmacopeia, managing a comprehensive range of events. Tristan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College.
