Alvaro Burgos

Alvaro Burgos is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in founding and leading engineering teams across multiple companies. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO at Visito since March 2023, Burgos previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Lyft, where the engineering team was scaled from 5 to over 30 members. As CTO at Luuna, a Mexico City-based company, Burgos expanded engineering, product, and UI teams from 1 to over 50 members, enhancing the Latin American mattress industry. Co-founding Mercadoni, which revolutionizes local shopping in LATAM, and leading Linio México's retail systems as Head of Retail Systems demonstrates Burgos's extensive expertise in e-commerce and technology solutions. Earlier roles include co-founding South Africa's first online laundry service and working at Rocket Internet GmbH in digital marketing and engineering. Burgos holds a Master's in Strategy and Management of International Business from ESSEC Business School and a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
