Michael Yaroshefsky

Founder & CEO at Visor

Michael Yaroshefsky is the founder and CEO of Visor. Michael was previously a senior analyst at Insight Venture Partners, where they focused on mobile software, data analytics software, sales & marketing software, and infrastructure software.

At Insight, Yaroshefsky built a set of proprietary analysis tools which take as input a standard customer transaction file and basic P&L data to deliver the following analysis: retention (net dollar, gross dollar, and logo), segmented cohort analysis, customer concentration (current and historic trends), average revenue of all customer, new customers, and churned customers, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value (basic and strong upsell adjusted), and payback period. Michael also used their software engineering background to build a platform to complement Insight's internal Salesforce implementation. This Salesforce Optimizer consisted of nearly 20,000 lines of custom code written by Yaroshefsky, primarily in JavaScript and Python, to tailor the Salesforce interface to the needs of their fellow analysts.

Some of Yaroshefsky's selected investments include Docker (a distributed application platform), Flipp (a dynamic mobile marketing platform for consumers and retailers), Xamarin (a mobile software development platform), Alteryx (an advanced data blending & analysis platform), DataSift (a social data filtering & augmentation platform), Ensighten (a marketing personalization & data engine), Famo.us (an advanced cross platform user interface), and iSpot.TV (a marketing intelligence platform).

Michael Yaroshefsky has a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a B.S.E from Princeton University in Operations Research and Financial Engineering.

Some direct reports include Corey Boornazian - Growth Engineer, Patrick Shanley - Principal Engineer, and Jonathan Slavuter - Lead Product Designer.
