Richard DeVitto is an experienced educator and consultant with a background in law, public safety, and criminal justice. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Lewis University since January 2010 and at the College of DuPage's Homeland Security Training Institute since March 2019, Richard has extensive teaching experience at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including curriculum development. Previously, Richard spent nearly 20 years as a Senior Special Agent/Team Leader with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on compliance and integrity programs, and operated as a Consultant/Fraud Examiner for a government agency contractor from 2009 to 2017. As a founding member and President Emeritus of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Greater Chicago Chapter, Richard contributed significantly to the field of fraud examination. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Public Administration from Roosevelt University and a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice from Lewis University.
