Amanda Galvin-Johnston obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. In 1991, they also had the opportunity to enhance their skills in Fine Art Photography at the Institut d'arts Visuels in Orleans, France.
