Chris Ikin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Chris started their career in 1986 as a Printer Test Engineer at United Peripherals Limited. From 1987 to 1992, they worked as a Workshop Engineer at Fortonic Ltd. In 1993, they joined Omron Systems as a Field Engineer, where they worked until 1998. During this time, they held various positions at Vista Technology Support, including Northern Field Service Manager from 1998 to present, National Field Service Manager from 2017 to present, and Head of field service Management starting from September 2022.
Chris Ikin has a diverse education history. Chris attended Gladstone Street Primary School from 1973 to 1981, followed by Woodford Lodge from 1981 to 1986. In 1987, Chris studied Electrical & Electronic Principles at Mid Cheshire College of FE, where they obtained a HNC degree. Later, they enrolled in Cardiff Metropolitan University and completed a Foundation degree in Applied Professional Practice in 2015. Concurrently, in the same year, they also pursued a Pearson BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership at Acorn Learning Solutions. Continuing their education, Chris engaged in a Leadership and Management Apprenticeship provided by the Welsh Government in 2016. Additionally, in 2015, they pursued a Pearson Edexcel Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management (QCF) at Acorn Learning Solutions.
