John Grossman

John Grossman has had a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career as a Marketing professional at California Suncare, where they successfully managed a $3 million international marketing budget and increased sales annually. John then transitioned into the field of Human Resources and worked as a Technical Recruiter at Metro Information Services.

John later joined Idealab!, where they served as a Human Resources Management Consultant, leading the development of HR infrastructure for various technology start-ups. During this time, they also worked as a Project Manager and Recruiter at Intel Corp., overseeing global staffing in multiple countries and managing a team.

In 1999, John established their own HR Consulting practice called Harper Resources, where they provided services such as business plan development, staffing, organization design and development, and executive coaching. John took on major engagements with companies such as Warner Brothers Entertainment and Toyota Financial Services.

John then joined Bank of America as a Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for executing people strategy and programs for a diverse tech and ops division. John led top-performing teams, developed values and vision, and managed a budget of over $6 million across various HR functions.

After their tenure at Bank of America, John served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Gulfstream Diagnostics, where they built a comprehensive infrastructure for HR, IT, and Facilities functions. John championed a transforming culture and focused on driving continuous improvement.

Prior to their current position, John worked at Finch Therapeutics Group as the Head of People Operations. John originated the HR function at the company, supporting aggressive growth and creating a culture focused on the mission of harnessing the microbiome to serve patients with life-altering illnesses. John grew the company by 65% and developed a strong HR team.

Currently, John is the Senior Director and Head of Human Resources at Visterra Inc., a subsidiary of the Otsuka family of companies. John is part of a talented and driven team working on developing innovative antibody-based therapies for patients with unmet needs.
