Daniel Kelly

Daniel Kelly has an extensive work history in the legal field. From 2016 to present, they have worked at Vistra, where they currently hold the position of Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. In this role, they advise senior management on legal and regulatory issues and oversees litigation, labor and employment, environmental, and regulatory compliance matters.

Prior to their current position, Kelly worked at Energy Future Holdings as Vice President and Associate General Counsel from 2012 to 2016. Daniel managed litigation against the company and its subsidiaries, represented them in court, and supervised the litigation and claims team.

Early in their career, Kelly served as a Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Kent Conrad, where they analyzed legislation, prepared memoranda and letters, and represented the Senator in meetings.

Daniel Kelly attended the University of Michigan Law School from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a JD degree in Law. Daniel also holds certifications in practicing law in Texas and admission to various courts in the United States.
