Emily O'Brien

Emily O'Brien possesses extensive experience in tax counsel roles, currently serving as Deputy Chief Tax Counsel at Vistra Corp. since March 2017, where responsibilities include leadership in tax strategy and compliance. Prior experience includes positions as Associate General Tax Counsel and Managing Tax Counsel at Vistra Corp., and Tax Counsel at Energy Future Holdings from August 2013 to March 2017. Emily began a legal career as an Associate at Vinson & Elkins from September 2011 to August 2013. Emily earned a JD from The University of Texas School of Law and holds a BBA in Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business.
