John Velasquez

John Velasquez has extensive work experience in the field of SAP Basis Administration and project management. John has worked for various companies, including Vistra Corp., Sabre Corporation, GDT - General Datatech, Worldwide Flight Services, City of Dallas, and Textron Inc.

In their recent role at Vistra Corp., John served as a Senior SAP Basis Administrator and Vendor Operations Lead. John collaborated with a third-party vendor for infrastructure support and coordinated activities with geographically dispersed team members. John also reviewed vendor billing details, identified financial remediation opportunities, and analyzed processes for streamlining.

Prior to this, at Sabre Corporation, they managed a third-party vendor for SAP Basis administration support. John oversaw activities such as system outages, maintenance tasks, database refreshes, upgrades, patches, and security activities.

Before joining Vistra Corp. and Sabre Corporation, John worked as an SAP Basis Administrator at GDT - General Datatech, Worldwide Flight Services, and City of Dallas. In these roles, they performed tasks related to monitoring, support packs, batch jobs, and maintained the SAP environment.

John also has experience in project management, particularly at Textron Inc., where they served as an SAP Application Change Control Leader, SAP Cutover Leader, and Project Manager. John was responsible for executing change management policies, coordinating cutovers to production, and developing methodologies for project management.
