Mary Ramsey

Mary Ramsey, CPA, has a vast and diverse work experience in accounting and finance. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Retail Accounting at Vistra Corp since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of VP of Finance/Controller at Kynect (formerly Stream Energy) from June 2020 to August 2023. In this role, they played a key role in downsizing the company and cutting costs. Mary also successfully renegotiated tax and accounting fees to retain Deloitte's services at a reduced cost.

Before joining Kynect, Mary worked as the Director of Accounting at NRG Energy from August 2019 to June 2020. Mary gained significant experience as the Director of Accounting & Assistant Controller at Stream (Stream Energy) from April 2015 to August 2019. In this role, they oversaw the monthly close process, conducted balance sheet reviews, and authored technical accounting position memos.

Mary'searlier roles include Corporate Accounting Manager at Greatwide Logistics Services from September 2008 to August 2011, Accounting Manager at Flexi Compras from October 2007 to September 2008, and Senior Accounting Specialist at CompuCom from June 2005 to October 2007.

Mary started their career as a Financial Analyst at @Track Communications/Aether Systems/Geologic Solutions from March 2001 to June 2005. Mary also served as a Staff Accountant at United Advertising Publications from December 1997 to March 2001, and as a Billing Analyst at Quebecor Printing from March 1995 to December 1997.

Mary Ramsey, CPA completed their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree with a major in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University, which they attended from 1990 to 1993. Mary also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, obtained in 2006.
