James Harkin Fcmi Mrics

James Harkin has extensive work experience in the fields of land development and strategic land management. James is currently working at Vistry Group, where they hold the position of Director (Strategic Land Development). Prior to this, they served as the Head of Strategic Land Development and Strategic Land Development Manager at the same company. Before joining Vistry Group, James worked at Berkeley Group Plc, where they held various roles including Land & Development Manager at St George City Ltd and Land Buyer at St George City Ltd. James also worked as an Executive Assistant to the Founder & Chairman Tony Pidgley CBE. James started their career in the Royal Navy, where they served as a Commanding Officer, J3 Desk Officer for Europe, and Operations Officer (Principal Warfare Officer) in various operations and locations.Overall, James Harkin has gained valuable experience and expertise in land development, strategic land management, and military operations throughout their career.

James Harkin FCMI MRICS completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Spatial Planning & Development from the University of Reading from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in German from the University of St Andrews from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, James Harkin holds certifications as a Member (MRICS) from RICS, obtained in 2022, and as a Fellow (CMgr FCMI) from the Chartered Management Institute, obtained in 2018.
